I started practicing mindfulness because I was honestly at breaking point and not sure how to carry on as the void that was left, in my and our children’s lives, was so vast and the pain and anguish so unbearable.

I ‘d forgotten how to live, a part of me died when my husband passed away and I had to learn to become Lindsey again in this world. Mindfulness taught me to STOP, appreciate and enjoy this wonderful life we have…even when it hurts, even when you feel in turmoil, anxious and low points of self esteem, it’s about taking notice and allowing yourself to feel how you are feeling in the moment. This can be easier said than done, but once you learn this invaluable tool it truly will alter your life 100% for the better. Once I learnt to not bury my head in the sand, take notice of my thoughts and feelings-through mindful meditation-the thunder clouds began to lift and allowed some light to shine through again. My sleep gradually improved, my mind gently cleared and I could hold a conversation again with clarity and confidence. With time, and by infiltrating mindfulness into my everyday life and routine, I have found a way of coping even through the darkest of times.

Please read about my own personal journey further in ‘The Breathing Space’ mindfulness journal here Article (Page 5).

Covering most of The South Hams including Kingsbridge, Aveton Gifford, Salcombe, Modbury and Ivybridge – please contact me for further information.

Hi, my name is Lindsey and I am a fully qualified mindfulness teacher/practitioner having trained at the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation. I am also a mum to two girls and have a little pup called Marshall who keeps me on my toes!
